*"Big environment. Big issues. Little you. If you feel as if there's not much one person can do to make a positive impact on the environment—just take a look at these Go Green (Forever®) stamps. They illustrate simple things we each can do every day. With only a few small changes to the way we live.

Out of milk? Walk or bike to the store. Repair that drippy faucet—the noise was driving you crazy, anyway. Switch to energy-efficient light bulbs. Put on a sweater instead of turning up the thermostat. Sun dry your sheets—they'll smell wonderful! Is it enough to make a difference? Absolutely. Recycling just one aluminum can reduces waste—and saves enough energy to run a computer for three hours. Multiply that by 10—or 200—cans. Simple insulation like caulking or weatherstripping pays for itself with reduced utility bills within one year. Properly inflating your car tires improves gas mileage by as much as three percent. You're not just saving the environment, you're saving—period. Suddenly small steps seem pretty big.

Best of all, once you've started thinking—and acting—green, you'll feel proud that you've been part of a big change. "Home" just got greener. Thanks to you. Go Green, a pane of 16 stamps, is the Postal Service's social awareness issue for 2011. Award-winning animator, filmmaker, and illustrator Eli Noyes worked with Art Director Derry Noyes on his first stamp project, using a colorful, playful style to convey the message that every American can take simple actions to conserve energy and improve the environment. These Forever stamps are always equal in value to the current First-Class Mail one-ounce rate."

The Department of Agriculture crowned blueberries as the number one rock star in the world of powerful antioxidants. These blue jewels go straight to work and protect the skin against free radical damage that destroys collagen and connective tissue. A recent study also found that blueberries support the health of the skin's elastin, and if that isn't enough, have the ability to "reverse brain aging."

Blueberries are high in Vitamin C and contain fibre, folate, iron, manganese, potassium, calcium, magnesium, phosphorous, sodium, zinc, copper, B vitamins, vitamin E, and silicon. They also contain a power packed list of phytochemicals with the potential to inhibit the growth of tumors while offering anti-inflammatory and antifungal properties. Talk about the power of blue! Stock up . . . these blue beauties are in season. Buy them in bulk and freeze them for off-season luxury. Yum!

Meladerm® Skin Lightening Product

Meladerm® has most definitely risen in popularity as a very effective skin lightener/brightener. The formula boasts 10 active ingredients obtained from natural extracts such as Mulberry, Licorice, Lemon, Emblica (Indian Gooseberry) and Bearberry plants (Apha Arbutin). This product also contains Kojic Acid which offers antibacterial, antifungal and antioxidant properties derived from the fermentation process used to make japanese wine, aka sake. What is most impressive about Meladerm® is what is not on the list of ingredients . . . no hydroquinone, no parabens, no mineral oil, no mercury, no steroids and no harmful bleaching agents.

Meladerm® is used for hyperpigmentation, livers and sun spots, freckles, sun damage, birthmarks, acne marks, scars and uneven skin tones. The product is applied twice daily (morning and evening) and should be left for ten minutes before applying any makeup or other skin creams. A good SPF 30 cream should be used along with the product. Meladerm's® efficiency can be heightened by using a good exfoliation routine along side a healthy, daily skin care routine. Initial results are generally noted after 2 weeks with full results around the second or third month of dedicated use depending on the specific physiology of each individual's skin.
