The Top Spas of North America for 2008 were named by five 'take-it-to-the-bank' reliable sources; SpaFinder, Spa Magazine, Spas of America, Vanity Fair, and Conde Nast Traveller.com. Although the lists are different, we did note some of the same spas show up on more than one list. Aha! We decided to cross-reference and compare the lists to find out which spas really stand out. Spa Finder and Spa Magazine name their winners through their annual Reader's Choice Awards. Conde Naste prepares its list with nominations from their readers. Spas of America determine its winners through the analytic viewership to their website and specific spas. Vanity Fair sends a team of experts from VF.com to travel the world to select their winners.
